Columbus is a growing city and you will be right in the heart of the Short North which offers so much to do, from restaurants, to shopping, art galleries, live music etc. Below is a list of a few of our favorite spots to eat and drink and things to do! We hope you enjoy your time in O-H-I-O!
Hop online to book a table and have a few cocktails and snacks while listening to some great jazz music!
If you searching for pizza by the slice, look no further than Mikeys! You can't go wrong with any of the pizzas and make sure to try the unicorn sauce. If you're feeling adventurous, walk down to the basement and right into the walk in fridge - it's a tiki bar speak easy called the Sacred Palm.. Shhhh - you didn't hear it from me!
One of the best places to grab happy hour drinks and really solid wood-fired pizza. HH is from 4-6 M-F and Beer, Cocktail, Wine by the Glass, Apps, and pizzas are all half off!
Martini has been a staple in the short north for years. Drop in for a perfect dirty martini and a great meal! Stroll next door to Char Bar after for the best Long Island Iced Tea in the City!
Duck-Pin Bowling, 4-Square, Big Pong? Pins is a playground for adults and kids. They also have a solid draft list and decent cocktails!
Jackie O's is a brewery out of Athens Ohio (where Tommy's Alma Mater is located - Go Bobcats!). Their brewery here is huge with great outdoor areas to lounge or watch football.
If you love wine - this is a must! They have a great selection by the glass, or you can choose a bottle from their curated selection for a small corkage fee. If you don't know what to choose, their staff is amazing at helping you find something wonderful!
Arguably our favorite Columbus Brewery (and location of our welcome party!). They have a fun space with great beers, seltzers, cocktails and typically have a killer food truck! We recommend the Nimbus Iceberg (a light beer with a frozen paloma floater).
If you're on the hunt for a fancy cocktail with a great view of the city, visit Stories on High for a drink and a snack! You can reserve a table online, but most evenings finding a bar seat isn't too hard either!
Goodale Park is right in the heart of the Short north. Stroll through the park and Victorian Village with some of the coolest houses in the city.
A breakfast MUST. Great coffee, killer pastires, and a breakfast sandwich that can easily feed 2 (maybe 3). Don't be scared if there is a line - they move faster than the Chick-fil-A drive thru.
Irish/Scottish Pub Food, a great Scotch collection, and Guinness on draft - need we say more? Fun fact - we took some of our engagement pictures here!
You can find Jeni's Ice Cream all over these days, but it originated here in Columbus! The Short North has a great little scoop shop for that sweet tooth!
Best Bagel in Columbus (in my humble opinion).
